The NCAA forced Izzo to miss a game because the school employed someone associated with a potential recruit during a basketball camp in June. Associate head coach Mark Montgomery led the team in Izzo's absence.

Kansas 70, USC 68 - Josh Selby made his long-awaited collegiate debut memorable with a go-ahead 3-pointer with 26 seconds left to lead the Jayhawks (10-0) past the visiting Trojans (6-5). Selby, a freshman point guard ordered by the NCAA to sit out the first nine games, had 21 points, including five 3-pointers, and kept the crowd on its feet throughout the game.
Gonzaga 68, Baylor 64 - Kelly Olynyk put the Bulldogs (6-5) ahead to stay with a 3-pointer right after the No. 9 Bears (7-1) had scored four points on one possession, in Dallas. Four of Gonzaga's five losses are to Top 25 teams.
Illinois-Chicago 57, Illinois 54 - Darrin Williams scored five points in the final 1:10 and the Flames (5-7) rallied from an eight-point second-half deficit to end a seven-game winning streak by the No. 12 Illini (10-2) in a game at the United Center.
Florida 57, No. 6 Kansas St. 44 - Kenny Boynton scored 15 points and the Gators (8-2) beat the No.6 Wildcats (9-2) in the Orange Bowl Classic in Sunrise, Fla. KSU's only other loss was to top-ranked Duke.
Texas A&M 71, Arkansas 62 - Khris Middleton scored 19 of his 31 points after a bench-clearing scuffle early in the second half, including the go-ahead free throw in overtime, and the No. 25 Aggies won their seventh straight, beating the Razorbacks (7-2) in Dallas.
Texas 78, North Carolina 76 - Freshman Cory Joseph hit a turnaround jumper over Dexter Strickland with 1.4 seconds left to help the No. 22 Longhorns (9-2) beat the Tarheels (7-4) in Charlotte, N.C.
