The Independence will be staging their home games at a different venue during their second Women's Professional Soccer season.

The WPS is expected to announce Thursday that the Independence will play its home games at Widener University.

The team's home during its inaugural WPS season was West Chester University.

Both the Independence and Widener were still working out the details of the lease agreement, according to someone familiar with the negotiations.

Widener's Leslie Quick Stadium seats 4,500. The Independence average home attendance was 2,938.

The six WPS teams will play 18-game schedules, nine home and nine away. The schedule for the third WPS season has not been released, but opening weekend has been set for April 9-10.
