Assuming everybody remains healthy, nobody gets sent back to the minors and the Phillies' rotation stays in line, Hamels-Harper II will be in about 3 weeks.
Phillies lefthander Cole Hamels was suspensed five games Monday for intentionally plunking Nationals phenom Bryce Harper on Sunday. The Phillies are expected to take advantage of Thursday's off day and switch Hamels' and Roy Halladay's starts over the weekend. Halladay would pitch Saturday, Hamels on Sunday.
This would put Hamels in line to start May 23 against Washington. The Phillies host the Nationals May 21-23.
Everything in baseball is subject to change, so Hamels' starting on that date should be considered very tentative. It's still fun to speculate, though.
