THE PIAA HAS rescheduled its Class AA and AAAA football championships from today to tomorrow due to the threat of inclement weather.

Imhotep will now face South Fayette at 1 p.m. in the AA final, while St. Joseph's Prep will take on Pittsburgh Central Catholic at 6 p.m for the AAAA crown.

Last night's Archbishop Wood Class AAA title game went on as scheduled at 7 o'clock against Harrisburg's Bishop McDevitt from Hershey Park Stadium.

Snowstorms earlier in the week have already made preparations difficult for City Leagues' Schools. Both Prep and Wood could only watch film and have light conditioning to begin the week.

On Wednesday, the Vikings practiced at the nearby SMG SportsPlex in Warminster before heading to Hershey Thursday morning.

As of Wednesday night, Imhotep, which practices outdoors behind the Lonnie Young Recreation Center on Chelten Avenue, had yet to grab significant field time.

Head coach Albie Crosby said the team hoped to practice indoors at Harrisburg High School today.

The Panthers practiced at Temple's indoor facility yesterday.

"It is what it is," Crosby said Wednesday night, "we'll just go play football."
