FOUR TEMPLE players, all juniors, made the American Athletic all-conference football team. Not surprisingly, three were on the defensive side.
Linebacker Tyler Matakevich was the only first-teamer. He was also one of six repeat selections from the AAC's inaugural season.
Center Kyle Friend and defensive lineman Matt Ioannidis and Praise Martin-Oguike made second team. And another junior, cornerback Tavon Young, got honorable mention.
Delaware Valley senior wide reciver Rasheed Bailey (Roxborough High), who set school season records with 80 catches for 1,707 yards and 19 touchdowns, was named to the AFCA Division III Coaches All-America team. He's the only MAC player to be so honored.
