- Justin Moss scored 16 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead Buffalo to an 80-70 win over Drexel last night.
Jarryn Skeete added 14, Rodell Wigginton and Xavier Ford had 12 apiece, and Lamonte Bearden 11 for Buffalo (6-2). The Bulls were just 2-for-9 from three-point range in the first half but finished 6-for-18.
It was Moss' fourth consecutive double-double as Buffalo returned home for the first time since its season opener.
Buffalo coach Bobby Hurley's big men played well as the Bulls scored 42 of their 80 points in the paint. Bearden and Shannon Evans each had eight assists.
Damion Lee scored 24 points and had five rebounds and four assists for Drexel (2-7). Rashann London scored a career-high 17 and Tavon Allen had 10.
Drexel got within 49-47, but Skeete hit back-to-back three-pointers at the end of a 12-2 run for a 61-49 lead midway through the second half. Wigginton's steal and dunk extended Buffalo's lead to 70-56 with 3:14 left.
The Dragons got off to a tough start shooting early, but finished 45 percent from the floor. However, the Dragons' long-range offense wasn't clicking as Drexel was just 4-for-17 from behind the arc.
