Connecticut. The Dogwood Festival 2012 is May 11-13 at Greenfield Hill Congregational Church, 1045 Old Academy Rd., Fairfield. It has a lot of events, including the Dogwood Dash; music programs, art shows, and tours of historic places around Greenfield Hill.

Delaware. The Wilmington Grand Prix, a U.S. Cycling National Racing Calendar Event, is May 18-20. Online registration for racers closes May 16. The first race is at 4 p.m. May 18, the Monkey Hill Time Trial, in Bandywine Park, where spectators will enjoy barbecue, music, and family fun; May 19 is the figure-eight criterium, with races beginning at 9 a.m., 10:15 a.m., 2 p.m., and 3:45 p.m. at the Grand Opera House, and a daylong street festival; May 20 is the Grand Prix Gran Fondo race. New Jersey. The 20th Annual Spring Flower Fair at Rutgers Gardens, 112 Ryders Lane, New Brunswick, runs May 11-13. A Garden Plant Sale that provides you with the opportunity to purchase unique or difficult-to-find plants that will enhance your garden with flower, form, or food. Maryland.Ocean City Restaurant Week runs May 6-20 at eateries throughout the Eastern Shore resort town. Restaurants will create special, fixed-price menus for $10, $20, $30, and $40 (tax and gratuity not included). Reservations are suggested.

Massachusetts. Duckling Day Parade is May 13 in Boston, starting at noon at the Boston Common, corner of Beacon and Park Streets. Based on the children's classic "Make Way for Ducklings" by Robert McCloskey, Duckling Day is an annual event where children and their families retrace the steps of the beloved characters Mr. and Mrs. Mallard and their family of eight ducklings.
