Inflated with hope,
And giddy with delight,. . . I
Slowly rise above the treetops,
Lazily drifting on the wind's wings.
Soaring effortlessly and endlessly.
Reveling in sights never before seen,
And the thrill of realizing
I. . . can
Reach unattainable heights.
Smoothly gliding past fluffy clouds,
And swirling leaves,
Awestruck at the discovery
Of being able to . . . fly
So high in the sky's blue expanse.
Unchained, unbound, unclaimed,
And finally free.
At least for. . . now.
