Teddy Bear Picnic.

Moms can spend Mother's Day with their kids at the Teddy Bear Picnic at the Garden State Discovery Museum. Haddonfield-area teacher Rosie Hymerling and guest Winnie the Pooh will be at the tea. A mother herself, Hymerling will lead a teddy bear-themed party. The event features songs and stories, cookie decorating, crafts and more.

Mad Hatter's Tea Party. On Thursday the first ever gala to benefit the Garden State Discovery Museum's Subaru Center for Learning takes place. There will be a silent auction plus food and drink. The Center for Learning is the nonprofit outreach department of the Discovery Museum, serving as a professional development headquarters for teachers throughout the region. Rosie Hymerling, a Haddonfield-area teacher, will receive the museum's first Achievement Award.

Family Bowling Night. Laurel Lanes opens the lanes up for a good cause on Thursday for the allRisk Archway Family Bowling Night. Bowlers can also compete in a Skinz Competition against the New Jersey State Bowling Association Hall of Famer and two-time PBA Title winner, Sam Maccarone. The Archway Foundation hosts the event, which will include an appearance from Mick Quick and Ron Jaworski, former Philadelphia Eagles. Those registered can bowl, try laser bowling, billiards, and join in a silent auction. Food and drinks will be provided. Family Bowling Night supports Archway Programs' wide array of services for disadvantaged and disabled children and adults.

Children's Painting Workshop. Kate Lemay holds a painting workshop for kids ages 7 and under on Saturday. Children will learn how to paint a timeless treasure. A parent is required to accompany the child.
