Holy Family University

President Sister Francesca Onley recently was recognized for her 25 years at the helm of the institution.

Bensalem Township Mayor Joseph DiGirolamo presented Onley with a plaque at a 300-guest Silver Anniversary Dinner and Roast in her honor at the Belle Voir Manor in Bensalem.

The dinner allowed the university to meet its $100,000 goal of creating a scholarship in Onley's name for a first-time, full-time student.

During her tenure as president, Onley has overseen the construction of the Garden Residence dorms, the John Perzel Education Technology Center, the Holy Family-Woodhaven site, the university's Campus Center, and the acquisition of the Newtown Center.
