A Camden County man has been sentenced to more than 64 years in prison for a series of armed bank robberies.
Steven L. Baker, 40, of Magnolia, was convicted in August of robbing banks in Lakewood, Brick, and Neptune. Prosecutors say he used a gun and threatened bank employees. The robberies took place in September and November 2009 and January 2010.
Baker was sentenced Monday in U.S. District Court in Trenton. Judge Garrett E. Brown Jr. ordered him to pay more than $145,000 in restitution. An accomplice who pleaded guilty to one of the robberies is scheduled to be sentenced Tuesday. - AP
