A Camden teenager has been charged as an adult in the killing of his father's this year, authorities said Thursday.

Quawi Twiggs, 17, shot Kevin Archie, 50, also of Camden, multiple times during a dispute around 10:30 p.m. May 31 outside Archie's North 19th Street home, according to the Camden County Prosecutor's Office and Camden police. Archie died at Cooper University Hospital on June 3.

Twiggs, who lived with his father, was arrested July 1 by U.S. marshals at a relative's home in Chester, where he went after the killing. Twiggs was waived to adult court Wednesday and arraigned Thursday by Superior Court Judge Thomas Brown on the murder charge. He was ordered held on $500,000 bail in the Camden County Jail. - Darran Simon
