Police have identified a man wanted in the slayings of two men in Chester in September. Brian "Itchy" Selby, 40, is sought in the deaths of Tyrone Thompson, 27, and his 19-year-old nephew, Jeffrey Joyner, police said.

Just before midnight Sept. 5, Thompson and Joyner were gunned down as they walked in the 2700 block of Kane Street, near where they lived. The two had recently moved to the area from North Carolina.

In mid-September, the Delaware County District Attorney's Office filed court papers requesting that a grand jury be summoned to investigate "a number of very public unsolved homicides" in Chester, including the case involving the two men.

The U.S. Marshals Service is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to Selby's arrest. Anyone with information is being asked to call the Chester City anonymous tip line at 610-447-7810. - Mari A. Schaefer
