Three men were shot while decorating the outside of their homes with Christmas lights in North Philadelphia, police said.
The shooting happened around 10:45 p.m. Wednesday in the 4000 block of Howland Street. A man, 28, was shot in the back; another, 36, in the arm; and a third, 34, twice in the abdomen, authorities said.
The youngest man was taken to Albert Einstein Medical Center. The other two were taken to Temple University Hospital. All were in stable condition Thursday.
According to police, the men said a dark gray Chevrolet Impala with tinted windows drove past them, stopped, and then backed up to them.
A passenger in the car asked the three if they had a problem or had hit his car, causing another person who was standing with the men to ask if the passenger had a problem, police said.
The passenger then pulled out a handgun and started shooting. The Impala turned on Lycoming Street and fled, police said.
The suspect, believed to be in his 20s, was wearing a light gray knitted cap, police said.
