West Chester police said a Coatesville teenager tried to sneak into West Chester Henderson High School, then attacked an administrator who was escorting him to the main office.
About 1:20 p.m. Thursday, the 17-year-old attempted to enter through a side door, according to Chief Scott L. Bohn. An administrator asked if he was a student. When the teen said yes, the official walked him to the main office to check. That's when the youth hit him.
He was charged as a juvenile with aggravated assault and related charges.
Bohn said the teen, whose name was not released by police because he is a minor, had a history of similar incidents. The chief said the school responded quickly in calling police and communicating with parents.
