Amtrak derailment hotline, assistance center set up

Amtrak has set up a hotline for anyone with questions about friends and family on the train that derailed Tuesday night in Philadelphia.

The Amtrak Incident Hotline is 800-523-9101.

A family assistance center has also been established at a Center City hotel to work closely with family and friends of individuals on the train.

Here are resources if you or a loved one was affected by the crash, or if you are looking for more information:

- Information on how the crash is affecting area rail lines, including Amtrak, SEPTA and NJ Transit.

- Amtrak service advisories and blog

- The Red Cross of Southeastern Pennsylvania was helping victims and families near the crash scene and  aiding them with travel arrangements at 30th Street Station.

-  A center for friends and relatives has been set up at hotel in Center City, located at the Marriott at 12th and Market streets. Earlier, a center had been in place near the derailment site at Webster Elementary (3400 Frankford Ave.) from Monday night through Tuesday afternoon.
