A Wilkes-Barre, Pa., woman was arrested Thursday after she allegedly stabbed her boyfriend because he began eating Thanksgiving dinner while she slept off a drinking binge.
Police said Jack-Lyn Blake, 47, met officers at the front door of her Madison Street home shortly before 6:30 p.m. and admitted to stabbing the man.
The victim, who was standing in the doorway holding a towel over his chest, told investigators Blake had gone upstairs to sleep earlier in the day after becoming intoxicated, police said.
Hours later, when Blake came back downstairs and found him eating dinner, she allegedly became enraged.
Police said she grabbed a knife and chased the man around the dining room table before stabbing him in the chest.
She then backed about eight feet away and threw the knife at him, striking him under the left eye, according to investigators.
Medics took the man to a local hospital for treatment.
Blake was taken to the Luzerne County Correctional Facility to be arraigned on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, simple assault, reckless endangerment and terroristic threats, police said.
Blake was previously arrested in May for allegedly threatening to kill her boyfriend in his sleep. Charges of simple assault, terroristic threats and harassment were dismissed the following month, court records state.
