A 10th suspect in the brutal slaying of a Burlington County couple was arrested today in California, authorities said.

Kuasheim K. Powell, 24, who lived in the home on the 500 block of Berkley Street in Camden where Muriah Ashley Huff, 18, and Michael Hawkins, 23, were killed on Feb. 22. The couple was then buried in the backyard of the rowhouse.

Authorities said Powell, who is charged with murder in connection with both homicides, shot Hawkins in the head five or six times. Powell was arrested in Long Beach on a warrant that was issued on March 4, officials said.

In addition to being shot, Hawkins, of Mount Holly, was bound, gagged, beaten repeatedly and stabbed. Huff, of Cinnaminson, was beaten and strangled.

The nine other suspects facing murder charges include five adults and four juveniles. The youngest suspect is a 14-year-old Camden girl
