The Princeton Review is out with its annual college and university rankings, and the region is once again well represented.

Unlike other surveys, the results found in a new book, The Best 376 Colleges, were based on voting by students, 122,000 of them.

Swarthmore College was rated the top private school for "value" for the third year in a row, as well as the No. 1 college or university for "Great Financial Aid."

Penn State is No. 1 for "Everyone Plays Intramural Sports" (and "Financial Aid Not So Great"), third for "Students Pack the Stadiums," fourth for "Lots of Beer," fifth among "Jock Schools," and seventh for both "Happiest Students" and "Party Schools." Just two years ago, Penn State was voted the top party school.

Bryn Mawr College is No. 1 for "dorms like palaces," fourth for "best campus food," and No. 11 for "LGBT-Friendly."

The University of Scranton, a Catholic and Jesuit school, is No. 1 for "Election? What Election?" and No. 12 for food, as well as No. 19 for "Most Religious Students."

Topping the list for "Least Happy Students" were New Jersey Institute of Technology in Newark, and Marywood University in Scranton, Pa.

Princeton University was second for aid, third for value, and fifth for both "Most Beautiful Campus" and "Students Study the Most."

Lehigh University was No. 2 for "Gown Town Relations Are Strained," and seventh for "Major Frat and Sorority Scene."

Haverford College was No. 8 for most studious students (several spots above Swarthmore and Bryn Mawr), and 15th for "Least Religious Students."

Temple University is No. 10 for "Lots of Race/Class Interaction," but 12th for "Least Accessible Professors" and 18th for "Least Beautiful Campus."

Drexel University appears at No. 12 for "This is a Library?" and No. 19 for "Top Entrepreneurial Programs: Undergraduate."

Villanova's highest ranking is No. 14 for both "Little Race/Class Interaction" and "Financial Aid Not So Great."
