Former middle school principal pleads guilty in child porn case

A former Delaware County middle school principal has pleaded guilty to possessing child pornography.

Prosecutors said 42-year-old Troy Czukoski, of Exton, pleaded guilty today in federal court in Philadelphia. He possessed between 150 and 300 images of children engaging in sexually explicit conduct, authorities said.

Czukoski, who had been the prinicpal at Springton Lake Middle School, will be sentenced on Aug. 12. He faces up to 10 years behind bars.

Prosecutors say he made 13 purchases on a website that sells child pornography between 2008 and 2011.

Investigators found CDs, DVDs and flash drives with explicit images and videos at his home when they executed a search warrant in October.

He agreed to speak with agents at that time, court documents say. He admitted to purchasing the videos and showed agents where he hid the discs and flash drives with the pornographic images.

Czukoski was charged in March. Officials in the Rose Tree Media School District said at the time that he was on leave from his position as principal and recently resigned.

School officials have also said there is no evidence that Czukowski mistreated students.
