$41 million loan for high tech in schools on agenda

The Philadelphia School Reform Commission this morning will consider borrowing $41 million to pay for technology upgrades in 1,300 middle grade classrooms.

The money also would be used to fund computer labs, electronic whiteboards, and other classroom supports in 12 schools.

The board meeting, to be held at 10:30 a.m. at district headquarters, 440 N. Broad St., is open to the public.
