Slain officer's baby born - it's a boy

The family of slain Police Officer Bradley Fox and the Plymouth Township Police Department are celebrating the birth of Bradley Michael Jr.

The family of slain Police Officer Bradley Fox and the Plymouth Township Police Department are celebrating the birth of Bradley Michael Jr.

The baby was born at 8:48 a.m. Monday, weighing 7 pounds, 11 ounces, and measuring 20.75 inches long, according to Chief Joseph Lawrence.

The mother, Lynsay, and the baby are doing fine, as is big sister Kadence, 11 months, he said.

"It makes everyone a bit happier that baby Brad is here, and everyone is doing well," said Lawrence. A couple of the officers who are close with Lynsay Fox were at the hospital for the birth, he said.

In September, Officer Bradley Fox, a former Marine, was killed in the line of duty, and his K-9 partner, Nick, was wounded when Andrew C. Thomas, a suspect in a hit-and-run, ambushed him during a search.

Michael J. Henry, 31, of Philadelphia, pleaded guilty last week to acting as the straw purchaser for the weapon Thomas allegedly used to kill Fox.
