Road work set for Route 263
WARMINSTER A three-year, $31.6 million renovation of Route 263 in Warminster and Warwick Townships will begin in January, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announced last week.
The project set for a four-mile stretch between Bristol and Sugar Bottom Roads, will involve resurfacing, upgrading intersections, installing new traffic signals and guiderails, and rehabilitating several bridges, according to PennDot.
PennDot spokesman Charles Metzger said that about 19,000 motorists use the road each day, and that the last major work done along that stretch was in the 1970s.
The project is expected to be completed in October 2017, PennDot said.
