Meteorologist Bruce Budd inspected a 10-mile path of destruction in Schuylkill County on Friday, according to the Pottsville Republican-Herald. The damage included a roof blown off a former hotel and thousands of power outages.

Thursday's twister was part of a storm system that wreaked havoc across the state. One storm toppled a circus tent in Western Pennsylvania, injuring five people. On Monday, a small EF-1 tornado embedded in a larger area of straight-line winds destroyed a barn and damaged two others along with two homes near Brockton in Schuylkill County. - AP
