The service was scheduled for 11 a.m. at the Deliverance Evangelistic Church in North Philadelphia, but the church confirmed late Wednesday night that the service was canceled. No explanation or further information was available.

Hemsley died July 24 at his home in El Paso, Texas. He was 74. - Robert Moran
