Two races each again next year at Pocono, Dover

NASCAR releases schedule for 2015, with some changes elsewhere around the nation.

AS EXPECTED, Pocono Raceway and Dover International Speedway will again host two NASCAR Sprint Cup races each next year.

NASCAR released its 2015 Sprint Cup schedule with these dates included: Dover, May 31 and Oct. 4 (third race in Chase) and Pocono, June 7 and Aug. 2.

Major changes in the schedule are Darlington regaining its traditional Labor Day date (Sept. 6), Atlanta hosting the second race of the year instead of early September, and Bristol's spring race moving a month later, to April 19. Darlington had hosted the Southern 500 on Labor Day for 53 years before it moved to the spring several years ago.

The season again begins with the Daytona 500 on Feb. 20 and ends at Homestead (Fla.) on Nov. 22.

Fox will televise the first half of the schedule, with NBC supplanting ESPN to cover the second half, starting with the July 5 race at Daytona.
