Oklahoma State outlasts Texas in triple overtime

Mario Boggan set career highs with 37 points and 20 rebounds and hit the game-winning three-pointer with 3.2 seconds left in the third overtime to lift No. 12 Oklahoma State to a 105-103 victory over No. 21 Texas last night in Stillwater, Okla.

The 6-foot-7 senior took the ensuing inbounds pass near midcourt and fought through defenders to launch a three, then fell to the floor and was joined by celebrating teammates after Texas' A.J. Abrams was called for traveling with 0.2 seconds left to clinch the win for the Cowboys.

Pittsburgh 63, Connecticut 54 - The No. 6 Panthers (17-2, 5-0 Big East) pulled away midway through the second half behind Aaron Gray's strong inside play and Ronald Ramon's perimeter shooting, wearing down the Huskies (13-4, 2-3) to win a typically rugged conference matchup in Pittsburgh.

The Huskies' Hasheem Thabeet caught an elbow from Gray above the eye less than two minutes into the game and didn't return until late in the half. With Thabeet out, Gray took advantage by getting 11 rebounds by halftime.

Virginia 103, Maryland 91 - Mamadi Diane scored a career-high 26 points and Sean Singletary added 25 and seven assists as the Cavaliers (10-6, 2-2 Atlantic Coast Conference) upset the No. 22 Terrapins (15-4, 1-3) in Charlottesville, Va.

Memphis 79, Alabama-Birmingham 54 - Robert Dozier had 15 points and eight rebounds as the No. 17 Tigers (14-3, 4-0 Conference USA) won their sixth straight with a victory over the Blazers (10-8, 2-2) in Memphis.

Kentucky 87, South Carolina 49 - Joe Crawford tied his career high with 23 points and the Wildcats (15-3, 4-0 Southeastern Conference) won their 11th straight over the Gamecocks (10-6, 0-3) in Columbia, S.C.

DePaul 71, St. John's 63 - Wilson Chandler scored 15 points and the Blue Demons (12-7, 3-2 Big East) beat the Red Storm (10-8, 1-4) in Rosemont, Ill.

Maine 70, Md.-Baltimore County 56 - Kevin Reed scored 13 of his 18 points in the second half to lead the Black Bears (7-11, 2-4 America East) to a 70-56 victory over the Retrievers (6-12, 2-3) in Orono, Maine.
