RUSHING OFFENSE: Bryce Brown, who had rushed for 347 yards and four touchdowns against Carolina and Dallas, found the going a lot tougher against the Bucs, who came into the game ranked first in the league against the run. Brown gained just 6 yards on 12 carries. Just four of his carries gained more than 1 yard. The Eagles' leading rusher was QB Nick Foles, who had 27 yards on three carries, including a 10-yard TD run.

Grade: D

PASSING OFFENSE: Nick Foles engineered his first NFL fourth-quarter comeback, bringing the Eagles back from 11 points down in the final 7 minutes. Foles, who completed 32 of 51 passes for 381 yards and two TDs, had eight completions of 20 yards or more, including four in the fourth quarter. He was 10-for-15 for 170 yards on third down. Foles extended his string of pass attempts without an interception to 142.

Grade: A

RUN DEFENSE: The Eagles held the Bucs to 66 yards on 19 carries through the first three quarters, including just two runs of more than 7 yards. But they nearly came unhinged in the fourth quarter, getting gashed for 70 yards on 13 carries. But Fletcher Cox made a big stop on Doug Martin on a third-and-8 with 2:51 left that gave the ball back to the Eagles for their game-winning drive.

Grade: C+

PASS DEFENSE: The Eagles, who had a 142.4 opponent passer rating in the previous six games, held erratic Josh Freeman to 14 completions in 34 attempts. Freeman averaged just 5.5 yards per attempt. The Eagles did give up multiple touchdown passes for the ninth time in 13 games, including a 13-yarder in which linebacker Jamar Chaney was matched up with wide receiver Vincent Jackson. Freeman was 3-for-9 on third down.

Grade: B-

SPECIAL TEAMS: Damaris Johnson's muffed punt early in the third quarter gift-wrapped the Bucs' first touchdown. Alex Henery, who came into the game with a streak of 21 straight made field goals, missed two for only the second time in his young career, including a 31-yarder in the third quarter. A false start earlier negated a 53-yard field goal by Henery.

Grade: C-

OVERALL: The Eagles managed to sidestep their first nine-game losing streak since 1968 and Nick Foles took a big step in his development, bringing the Eagles back from 11 points down in the fourth quarter. The defense now has gone seven games without an interception, but did a good job of neutralizing the Bucs' passing game.
