One of the biggest brewers in America says it will foot the bill for Eagles fans to ride SEPTA's Broad Street Line for free for the Sept. 7 home opener.
Miller Lite, in a brief statement posted to its website, said that for the second year in a row it will cover all fares on the BSL from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. when the Birds take on the Jacksonville Jaguars. It's a nice gesture. And represents a gift to each fan of about $3.60. But given that a beer can cost up to $12 a cup at the Linc, it's a mere drop in the suds maker's bucket.
