Twelve of harness racing's most accomplished trotters will compete tomorrow in two $40,000 elimination divisions of the Maxie Lee Memorial at Harrah's Chester racetrack. The first four finishers in each elimination will advance to the $250,000 final on May 25.

The 7-5 morning-line choice in the first elimination is Buck I St Pat, a 5-year-old mare that is the top-ranked aged trotter with six wins in eight starts, including victories in the Mack Lobell at Pompano Park and the Miss Versatility at the Meadowlands. Buck I St Pat will be ridden by Tim Tetrick for trainer Mickey Burke.

Before He Cheats will be the even-money favorite in the second division, having won two of his three starts, including a powerful 1 minute, 52.4 second victory in the Su Mac Lad final at the Meadowlands on May 2. He swept the Chester trotting series last season.

The 4-year-old also will be ridden by Tetrick.

The race honors the late Maxie Lee, who raced and trained horses at the Meadowlands, Brandywine Raceway and Liberty Bell Park.
