Great Valley girls reach lacrosse final with 13-6 win

The top-seeded Patriots (19-3), who will face Springfield (Delaware County) in Tuesday's championship matchup, added four goals from Emily Ellisen.

Great Valley pulled away from a 7-5 lead on three straight goals by Wenger, and goalie Stephanie Berger made 10 saves. Kalyn McDonough scored twice for Unionville (12-8).

advanced with a 10-7 win against

Strath Haven

, aided by three goals apiece from Madison Poplawski and Valerie Paolucci.

Strath Haven got two goals each from Emily Garrity, Annalise Penikis and Courtney DeVinney.

Class AAA.

Radnor

(22-0) sailed through the District 1 semifinals with an 18-7 victory over

Boyertown

(18-4) at West Chester East.

Samantha Ellis gunned in five goals, Kelyn Freedman had three, and Red Raiders goalie Katie Geary stopped 10 of 17 shots.

For Boyertown, Sarah Bennett, Maggie Tamasitis and Emily Austerberry notched two goals each.

Bayard Rustin

(17-2) ousted

Downingtown West

, 19-10, and will play Radnor for the District 1 trophy at 8 p.m. Tuesday at Marple Newtown.

Rustin's attack featured Allison Tatios' four goals and four assists and Leanna Brewer's four goals.

Downingtown West (20-3) stayed within 8-7 before the Golden Knights netted eight straight goals.

Sarah Phillips and Jaymie Tabor scored three goals apiece for the Whippets.
