Melchiore to coach at St. Augustine
Joe Melchiore, a three-time state wrestling champion from Highland, is the new wrestling coach at St. Augustine. Melchiore, who won his titles from 1982 to 1984, will also teach physical education full time at St. Augustine. A former wrestler at the University of Iowa, Melchiore replaced Keith Hoover.

St. Augustine athletic director Tony Iaconelli gave no reason why Hoover resigned last week after nine years as head wrestling coach and assistant athletic director.
Dennis Foreman has been named St. Augustine's assistant athletic director.
