Four individuals and one team will be the newest inductees to the Haddon Heights Athletic Hall of Fame. The Hall of Fame dinner will take place May 19 at Tavistock Country Club.

The four individuals are Faustino "Fuzzy" Fernandez-Vina, Class of '70, Ken Hoff ('70), John Pollitt ('80), and Deborah Clarke ('86).

The 1991 girls' track team, which became the first girls' team to win a state championship in school history, will also be inducted.

Fernandez-Vina was an all-star guard and defensive tackle for the 8-0-1 football team in 1969. He later earned all-star football honors as a guard at Widener.

Hoff was a fullback and defensive back for that 1969 team and an all-Colonial Conference outfielder. He earned a football scholarship to the University of Massachusetts.

Pollitt was an all-South Jersey basketball player who helped the Garnets win Colonial Conference titles in 1979 and 1980. He then enjoyed a stellar college basketball career at Philadelphia Textile, now Philadelphia University.

Clarke was a varsity performer in field hockey, basketball and softball. At Salisbury State University, she earned eight varsity letters playing field hockey and softball. She was a college all-American in both sports and won the NCAA Division III title in field hockey.
