Haddon Heights routs Collingswood and ends drought
It may be too early in the season to cut down the nets, but the Haddon Heights boys' basketball team still sent its home crowd into a frenzy on Tuesday, when the Garnets ended a nearly 11-year drought by crushing Colonial Conference rival Collingswood, 73-47.

Brandon Joyner totaled 16 points, 16 rebounds, and five assists, and Davon Jones scored 19 for Haddon Heights, which had lost its last 21 meetings with the Panthers.
A 30-7 second-quarter blitz put the Garnets on course for their first win over Collingswood since Feb. 2, 2001.

Twin brothers Deandre and Devon Dredden scored six points apiece down the stretch as host Overbrook rallied from a nine-point deficit with 6 minutes left to defeat West Deptford, 55-49.
James Bullock (14 points), Deandre Dredden (13), and Mike Diaz (11) supplied the bulk of the scoring, and Dom Mapp grabbed 14 rebounds for the Rams. Tommy Jakubowski had 14 points for the Eagles.
Gateway's Joe Palmer took game-high scoring honors with 28 points, but Denzel Turbeville (24 points) and host Lindenwold came away with a 56-43 victory.
Burlington County. Tyler Barnes totaled 25 points and seven rebounds, and Connor Lindsay scored 10 of his 13 points in the fourth quarter - including three three-point baskets - as New Egypt closed with a 26-16 spree to finish off visiting Delran, 60-46.
Tri-County. Brandon West's go-ahead basket with 30 seconds left made Deptford a 43-42 winner at Gloucester Catholic.
Stefano Okoro (26 points) and Tajee Almon (22) took turns torching the Pennsville defense, as Gloucester seized control early and coasted to a 65-35 road win.
Kyle Howell had 19 points, Charles Seals scored 18, and Salem received clutch foul shooting to turn away Pitman, 60-54. Tim Delaney's 19 points topped the Panthers, who made it interesting by outscoring the Rams, 19-11, in the final period.
Ray Lawry (17 points), Brad Fagan (15), and Julian Tention (10) teamed up to lead Kingsway, which wiped out an early deficit in a 52-37 win at Highland.
