Pa. Girls: Prep Charter wins tourney title in Fla.

Prep Charter is headed back to Philadelphia from Disney World with the championship trophy from the KSA Basketball Tournament after beating Lancaster (Ohio), 58-47, in the Purple Division title game on Wednesday.

Kahleah Copper took tournament MVP honors after posting 21 points and 12 rebounds in the final. India Cauley added 11 points and 10 boards, and Ciera Nimmons (14 points) made 4 of 5 three-point shots.

Nike Tournament of Champions. At Phoenix, Archbishop Wood snapped a two-game losing skid with a 52-44 win over Sacramento (Calif.). Wood's defense allowed just 12 second-half points, and Laura Tisch topped the offense with 16 points, backed by Alex Heck's eight points and 12 rebounds.

Beach Ball Classic. Archbishop Carroll got a trio of three-pointers from Shannon Shields (11) but suffered a 55-43 loss to Spring Valley (S.C.) at Myrtle Beach. Spring Valley's Xylina McDaniel, the South Carolina-bound daughter of former Seattle SuperSonics standout Xavier McDaniel, had 21 points and 13 rebounds.

Public. Mary Ellen Paul deposited eight of her game-high 20 points in a 12-4 third quarter that propelled Palumbo past host Frankford, 41-27.

Science Leadership held off host Swenson's late rally for a 59-55 win. Dayona McNeil collected 34 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists, and 5 steals, and Raeven Maddox added eight steals and seven rebounds for the winners.

Masterman needed three points each in overtime by Jean Marie Elican and Amber Williams to slip past host Strawberry Mansion, 45-41.

Shalia Kerr (21) made 3 of 5 free throws in the second overtime period as Rhodes clipped host Southern, 42-40.

Freshman Ramiera Tucker scored 29 points with four threes, as Germantown defeated host Mastbaum, 49-12.

Math, Civics & Sciences earned its fifth win, 51-47, over visiting Parkway Center City as Tatiana Larry provided 21 points and 12 rebounds.

Bicentennial. Emma Dorshimer (17) scored half of Jenkintown's 18 second-half points as the Drakes prevailed, 36-26, at Bristol.
