Here's a closer look at the players named to the first-team offense on The Inquirer's All-Southeastern Pennsylvania football team.

Linemen

Brandon Arcidiacono, Archbishop Wood. Boosted by the Rutgers recruit's muscle and ruggedness, the Vikings averaged 46.6 points.

J.J. Denman, Pennsbury. Overcoming a preseason injury, Denman was key to the Falcons' drive to the District 1 Class AAAA semifinals.

Mike Mooney, Malvern Prep. Ticketed for Virginia, Mooney was a force on both sides of the ball for the Inter-Ac League champions.

Chris Muller, Boyertown. Muller did a solid job of opening holes for Jon Neiman and Max Marcus. He will join Arcidiacono at Rutgers.

Frank Taylor, Archbishop Wood. It's no surprise: A lot of Wood's running plays went behind this Boston College-bound brute.

Quarterback

Matt Johns, Central Bucks South. The Virginia recruit completed 130 of 221 passes for 2,111 yards and 15 touchdowns.

Running backs

Dan Brown, Central Bucks South. After missing his junior season because of a knee injury, Brown rushed for 1,875 yards and scored 44 TDs.

Dae-Hon Cheung, Coatesville. In helping spark the Red Raiders to a 9-3 record, the speedster netted 1,896 yards and 21 scores.

Desmon Peoples, Archbishop Wood. The Inquirer's Southeastern Pennsylvania player of the year made a major impact as a two-way back.

David Williams, West Catholic. At last count, Williams, who rushed for 1,936 yards and 18 TDs, had eight Division I scholarship offers.

Tight end

Colin Thompson, Archbishop Wood. The Florida recruit, also a terror as a defensive tackle, handled a lot of the dirty work for the Vikings.

Wide receivers

William Fuller, Roman Catholic. Fuller, who has drawn the interest of top Division I programs, made 45 catches for 736 yards and 10 TDs.

Andrew Scanlan, Spring-Ford. A clutch performer for the Rams, the Northwestern recruit posted 52 catches for 836 yards and 10 scores.

All-purpose

Skyler Mornhinweg, St. Joseph's Prep. The Penn State recruit, also a free safety for the Hawks, threw for 1,775 yards and 21 TDs.

Tim Wade, La Salle. Treating every carry as if it was his last, Wade, also a kick returner, rushed for 1,559 yards and 20 TDs.

Kicker

Brandon Mandes, North Penn. With his booming leg, Mandes aided the Knights' march to the Class AAAA state championship game.
