Wed. S.J. boys' roundup: Haddon Heights triumphs at buzzer

Davon Jones, who led all scorers with 19 points, set up the winning basket by driving the lane and dishing a pass to Joyner (14 points) on the wing.

In the other semifinal, Burlington Township used a 22-2 second quarter to overcome a sluggish start and go on to defeat GAMP (Pa.), 51-36. The Falcons' Jalon Wilson scored 16 points.

Boardwalk Classic. Bobby O'Donnell shot 60 percent from the field in scoring 16 points, and Lower Cape May was perfect at the foul line in rallying past Father Judge, 44-43, in the Jay Craven Bracket championship in Wildwood.

In other Boardwalk Classic action:

Kyle Kahriger's 12 points headed Cherokee's balanced attack, and Rasheen Ellis contributed six points, six rebounds, and three assists to help the Chiefs hold off Wildwood Catholic, 41-38, in the championship of the Frank McAlarnen Bracket.

Hammonton used a 23-9, game-ending run to rally past Penns Grove, 57-50, for third place. Christian Mortellite (23 points) and Bobby Barbieri (13 points, 10 rebounds) starred for the Blue Devils, while Garrett Wilson (24 points, 11 rebounds) paced Penns Grove.

Matt Bosch totaled 21 points, 6 rebounds, 4 steals, and 4 assists; Chris Turner and Andrew Kimball teamed up to chip in 33 points; and Ocean City finished strong to defeat Pleasantville, 61-52, in the semifinals of the Bill Osborn Bracket.

Lloyd Smith shot 9 for 13 from the field, including five baskets from the beyond the arc, to finish with 27 points and five rebounds to lead Holy Cross over Metropolitan (N.Y.), 77-48, in the Jay Craven Bracket consolation.

Audubon Tournament. Xavier Wilson picked up 14 of his 18 points in the first quarter, putting Cinnaminson on track for a 74-61 win over Gloucester in the championship game. The Pirates also received 18 points apiece from Chris Kirby and Dan Haddon, while Stefano Okoro and Justin Smith combined to score 32 for Gloucester.

Dan Richards led the way with 15 points, and Jake Brown drained four three-point baskets in scoring 14, as Moorestown Friends edged Audubon, 51-45, for third place.

Colt Classic. Millville opened the game on a 25-8 run, with Allen Gaskins scoring 10 of his 15 points, and the Thunderbolts never looked back in slamming Schalick, 73-43, in the championship at Cumberland.

Wolverine Tournament. Sophomore Adam Herman tied his career single-game high with 19 points and Brian Lukacsy (10 rebounds) controlled the boards, leading Clearview past Haddon Township, 51-48, in the championship game at Woodstown.

In the consolation game, Jerome Little tossed in 23 points, and Gateway forced 22 turnovers to defeat Woodstown, 57-47.

Tiger Classic. Joseph Taylor's 19 points led four scorers in double figures for host Woodrow Wilson, which ran out to a 26-point first-half lead en route to an 82-60 rout of Camden Academy Charter in the title game. The Cougars' Gary Holmeshad a game-high 20 points.

Michael Tucker Tournament. Antonio Gilmore cleared nine rebounds to go with his game-high 23 points, and Michael Ansong capped his 18-point effort by sinking five free throws in the final minute of host Bordentown's 73-69 semifinal victory over Nottingham.

Florence used 16 points by Quintin Harris and a 10-3 third-quarter surge to knock off Hamilton West, 44-38.
