Stephen Vasturia and Gene Williams put on a dynamic shooting display, combining to make 17 of 24 field-goal attempts, as host St. Joseph's Prep blasted Bishop McDevitt, 77-53, on Monday in Catholic League boys' basketball.

Vasturia was 2 for 2 from beyond the arc and finished with 23 points and 15 rebounds, while Williams connected on 5 of 8 three-point shots in scoring 22 points.

Miles Overton added 14 points and Kevin Oberlies dished off seven assists for the Hawks, who soared out to a 48-28 first-half lead.

MLK Classic. Brandon Austin (18 points) and Khyree Wooten (17) scored four points apiece in overtime to lift host Imhotep Charter over Freire Charter, 66-59.

Carlton Wright scored 20 and Jahyde Gardiner netted 18, including a pair of free throws that pulled the Dragons even with 10 seconds left in regulation.

Hakeem Baxter totaled 15 points, six rebounds and three steals, and David George chipped in 10 points, eight rebounds and three blocks to help Philadelphia Electrical edge Esperanza, 49-44.

Khayri King's 21-point performance enabled Del-Val Charter to hold off Bartram, 52-47.

Concord Tournament. Horace Spencer blocked six shots, Mike Wasserleben assisted on five buckets as William Tennet defeated Cape Henlopen (Del.), 52-44.

Aondofa Anyam (18 points) led Church Farm on a 23-4 fourth-quarter spree, giving the Griffins a 48-38 win over Dover (Del.).

Girls' Basketball

Erin Fenningham converted 6 of 7 free throws down the stretch to help host St. Basil extend its winning streak to six by knocking off Nazareth Academy, 50-43, in the Catholic Academies League.

Fenningham posted 14 points and 11 rebounds, and teammate Molly Greenberg contributed 11 points and eight boards.

Nonleague. Sam Siegfried scored eight of her 14 points in a 28-14 first-half surge, sending Merion Mercy to a 49-36 victory at Little Flower.
