S. Jersey Boys: Moorestown upends top seed Holy Cross

Nick Savino batted 3 for 3 in support of Schurer, who struck out seven in improving to 4-0.

Tri-County. Matt Miniconzi of Highland singled to lead off the seventh inning, breaking up Kingsway pitcher John Beshada's no-hit bid, but the host Dragons still came out on top, 2-0, thanks to Brody Moran's two RBIs.

Noah Bauer's walk-off single capped a six-run, seventh-inning rally, lifting host Deptford over Cumberland, 10-9. Kyle Maurer went 4 for 5 at the plate, scored twice, and knocked in two runs for the Colts.

Dan Kelly picked up two doubles and a single in Clearview's 7-1 win at Pitman.

Colonial. Winning pitcher Shane Graham scored the go-ahead run on a wild pitch in the eighth inning, and Overbrook went on to defeat host Sterling, 8-6.

Burlington County. Anthony Ayala doubled to open the second inning and came around to score on Anthony Coniglio's single, giving Burlington City just enough cushion to hold off host Florence, 3-2.

Olympic. Tyler Mixon and Javier Gonzalez each scored twice and helped Lenape survive a late scare for a 7-6 victory at Timber Creek.

Shaun Gooch had two hits and two RBIs for Paul VI, which pushed across six runs in the fourth inning to rally past visiting Cherry Hill East, 8-2.

Cape-Atlantic. Bill Bendig allowed a first-inning double and then held Egg Harbor Township hitless the rest of the way, as host St. Joseph rallied for a 5-1 win.

Denny Olson homered twice, including a grand slam, to finish with six RBIs as Lower Cape May buried host Bridgeton, 19-0.

Jonathan Mercado popped a two-run homer in the seventh inning to close out Atlantic City's 10-1 triumph at Ocean City.

Warrior Classic. Host Wildwood remained alive in the double-elimination tournament by blanking Cape May Tech, 7-0.

Brendan Phillips singled, tripled and drove in four runs for the Warriors, who put the game away with a six-run fifth inning.

Lacrosse

Mainland kept its Cape-Atlantic League title hopes alive with a 15-3 romp at Lower Cape May.

The Mustangs ran out to a 6-0 lead, and continued to pour it on behind the scoring of Guy Loggi (5 goals), Ryan Bralski (3 goals), and Chris Kaczmarski (3 goals).

Olympic. Eric Anderson pumped in six goals, Colin Roualet deposited four, and Chris Hammerquist chipped in a hat trick as host Cherry Hill East bounced Bishop Eustace, 14-2.

Mason Stephens added a goal and two assists, and Jared Hand made 10 saves for the Cougars.

The tandem of Anthony Iacovone (4 goals, 3 assists) and Tyler Graham (3 goals, 4 assists) powered host Gloucester Catholic, which used an 8-2, game-ending spree to put away Paul VI, 17-8.

Mercer County Tournament. Rancocas Valley received five goals apiece from Aaron Bennett and Colin McDonald in blasting New Egypt, 18-2.
