Pa. Boys: Roxborough's Smith tallies 33 in OT win

Keyonne Parker and Jovan Hammond added nine and eight points, respectively.

Elverson forced overtime with a three-pointer at the buzzer.

In other nonlague action:

Matt Carter drained in a game-high 27 points as visiting MaST Charter edged Tacony Charter, 76-73. Shane Henehan followed with 14 points. Mason Carr and Bryan Kaelin both had 11 points. Jeremiah Alston scored 19 of his 23 points in the second half to lead Tacony Charter, which trailed by as many as 15 in the fourth quarter. Teammate Ervin Merone had all 16 of his points in the second half.

Quincy McKnight scored 31 points to power Phelps to a 93-83 win at Malvern Prep. McKnight, a Sacred Heart recruit, also had six assists and five rebounds. Mike Watkins had a 24-point, 10 rebound double-double. The Penn State recruit also blocked seven shots. Jack Doherty led Malvern Prep with 23 points. The Friars also received 19 points from Joey Fitzpatrick and 14 points from Will Powers.

Liam Shanahan led all scorers with 32 points as Masterman topped host Palumbo, 64-53. Shanahan also had six rebounds, three steals, and two assists. Jesse Turkson put in 16 points. Shafi Meachum scored 17 for Palumbo.

Charles Brown split his 20 points evenly between both halves of Washington's 56-43 win at St. Joseph's Prep. Asanti Ali and Jerome Blume both scored 10 points. Jheron Johnson had five of his seven points in the fourth quarter. James McGovern led St. Joseph's Prep with 15 points, and Chris Clover scored 10 points.

Lavelle Harper nailed four three-pointers and finished with 19 points during West Philadelphia's 40-33 home win against Kensington. Anthony King Jr. had five points and 10 rebounds. Stanley Coleman scored six points and dished out six assists.

Montrell Gilliam poured in 20 points as Edison won, 63-44, at Parkway Northwest. Robert Sample deposited 16 points. Andre Brown had 12 points. Sayzon Dunn led Parkway Northwest with 15 points, and Ahanri Briggs put in nine points.

Phil Madden dropped nine of his 18 points in the fourth quarter, and Lower Moreland took down Bishop McDevitt, 62-52. Madden also grabbed eight rebounds. Danny Duffy scored eight of his 16 points in the third quarter and made seven assists. Jayson Clark had 14 points for Bishop McDevitt.

Riley Thompson registered 10 points and four assists to lead Council Rock North to a 62-43 victory over visiting New Foundations. Matt Margolis put in 14 points. Will Desautelle netted nine points and collected nine rebounds.

Keith Washington sank nine of his 20 points in the first quarter as Bonner-Prendergast beat Parkway Center City, 68-43, at home. Marques Jackson contributed 14 points.

Soccer

Four area boys were named to the All-East Region by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.

West Chester Henderson's James Wood, La Salle's Tyler Colasanto, Holy Ghost Prep's Michael Kirby, Wissahickons' Cole Kropnick and Central Bucks East's Evan Vare made the team.

The 2014 NSCAA Convention will be held at the Pennsylvania Convention Center Jan. 14-18.
