S. Jersey boys: Medford Tech outlasts Schalick in OT

The pair led the Jaguars to a 74-69 overtime-win over Schalick in the event hosted by Cherokee.

Vincent scored 23 points and grabbed six rebounds, and Parker made three shots from beyond the arc on his way to 18 points.

In other Jimmy V Showcase action, Robert Tindley and Jared Latane powered Haddon Heights in a 61-50 win over Deptford. Latane led the Garnets in scoring, with 28 points, and Tindley coupled 23 points with eight assists.

Paulsboro's Tyrique King was all over the stat sheet in a 53-46 win against Delsea. King had 11 rebounds, two assists, and three steals to go with his 11 points. Eric Diaz and Cherron Quarles each scored 14 points.

Frank Ochman made five three-pointers en route to a team-high 24 points for Holy Cross as the Lancers defeated GCIT, 62-42. Ryan McGee scored 10 points and pulled down 10 rebounds.

Ocean City PBA Tipoff. The trio of Tyler Jones, Travis Stoll, and Dante Daniel powered Holy Spirit over Atlantic Christian, 86-50, at Ocean City. Jones scored 22 points, along with nine rebounds, five assists, three blocks, and three steals. Stoll scored 23 points and added five rebounds and seven assists. Daniel had five boards and three assists to go with his 18 points.

Cape-Atlantic League. Nick Betancourt and Christian Quijada lifted Vineland over host Buena, 72-49. Betancourt scored nine points and Quijada had 13 points.

Jack O'Donnell scored nine points in a 46-42 home win for Cape May Tech over Lower Cape May. Patrick Cottrell scored 28 points in the losing effort.

Nonleague. Pennsville's Logan Johnson was just short of a triple-double in a 58-52 win over visiting Camden County Tech. Johnson scored 11 points along with 10 rebounds and nine assists.

Pennsauken Tech's Elbin Fragoso had 11 points and seven rebounds in a 62-53 win at Overbrook.

Devon Tuten and Chris Roe powered the Sterling offense to a 70-59 win at Northern Burlington, scoring 23 points and 21 points, respectively.

Moorestown's Dan Dyer scored 17 points - including 10 from the line - to lift the hosts to a 63-55 victory over Nottingham. Zavier Alston scored 17 points.

Wrestling

Matt Higgins of host Shawnee pinned two of the three opponents that he faced in the Pine Barrens Tournament.

Higgins pinned Shore Regional's Brad Smuro at the 40-second mark to win the 113-pound title.

The hosts had four other first-place finishers - Higgins, Ed Molarity (106), Riley Tufts (138), Isaiah Bryant (152) and Aaron Bill (285) - and emerged as champions of the tournament.
