Holy Cross rallied to tie the score in the third quarter Thursday night before falling, 28-21, at Robbinsville in a West Jersey Football League Liberty Division game.

It was both teams' regular-season finale.

Khari Hewlett scored on a goal-line dive late in the third quarter to bring Holy Cross (4-4 overall, 3-2 division) even at 21. But Robbinsville's touchdown midway through the fourth was enough to turn back the visiting Lancers.

M.A. Ciaramella scored the game-winning touchdown on a 1-yard run with 8 minutes, 35 seconds remaining. It was the junior quarterback's second touchdown of the game.

The Ravens relied on 5-foot-10 junior Kyle Alston for the bulk of their carries.

Alston rushed for a 44-yard touchdown in the first quarter to tie the score at 7. He then followed with a 70-yard catch-and-run touchdown from Ciaramella before sprinting 80 yards for another touchdown as Robbinsville took a 21-7 lead.

Along with Hewlett's touchdown, Holy Cross received a 5-yard touchdown in the first quarter from Logan Hill and a 38-yard TD pass from Hill to Kollin Heyward.

Junior Jimmy Hickey rushed for 120 yards on 19 carries. Hill, a senior quarterback, completed 8 of 18 passes for 112 yards. Alvin Reed hauled in three catches for 69 yards.

Holy Cross entered the night having won three of its last four games.

In their five Liberty Division games, the Lancers have averaged 21 points and limited opponents to 15.4.
