S. Jersey Girls: N.J. girls: Cherokee wins title at Boardwalk Classic

Cailey Gibson and Shaye McGoey each scored nine points Tuesday to lead Cherokee over Council Rock North, 47-37, in the championship of the George Betz Memorial bracket of the Boardwalk Classic at Wildwood Convention Center.

Isabella Therien had 11 rebounds.

Audubon Holiday Tournament. Makenzi Cooper netted 19 points, including 16 in the second half, to carry Gloucester over Holy Cross, 47-31, in the championship. Kylee Hirst and Nikki Velez added 11 points apiece.

In a consolation game, Kaitlyn Young scored 14 points for Audubon in a 33-18 win over Cinnaminson. Deanna Pineiro had 12 rebounds.

Buena Holiday Tournament. Zeaenna Brackett had 20 points and eight rebounds in Woodbury's 45-16 win over Maple Shade. Aniyah Twine finished with 10 rebounds.

Collingswood Tournament. Hannah Quast scored 10 points in Clearview's 34-19 win over Collingswood. Elaina Hansen contributed eight points.

Caroline Muccifori and Miranda Chrone each had 12 points for Moorestown, which edged Northern Burlington, 53-50. LaChelle Colbert scored 20 points for Northern Burlington.

Pennsville Holiday Tournament. MacKell Schultes scored 10 points to aid Gateway in its 35-33 victory over Schalick. Grace Brown had 15 points for the Cougars.

Haddonfield Holiday Tournament. Taylor Sehdev registered 21 point in Haddonfield's 59-19 rout of Hightstown. Mary Kelly added 14 points.

KSA Disney Tournament. Alexis Paone made a layup at the buzzer to carry Ocean City over Shawnee, 38-36, in Florida. Nicole Piergross netted 13 points. Grace Sacco had eight points and six assists.

Riverside Holiday Classic. Jynazha Davis netted 16 points to carry Haddon Heights over Riverside, 47-35. Ashley Reynolds had 16 rebounds.

Washington Township Tournament. Maggie McIntyre netted 16 points to lead Gloucester Catholic at Washington Township, 47-23.
