Sa'eed Nelson was a highly productive player for St. Augustine Prep during the regular season.

Then the tournaments began and Nelson got even better.

The slick, quick point guard was at his best in the postseason, leading the Hermits to the Cape-Atlantic League tournament title and to the Non-Public South A championship game.

For the season, the 5-foot-10 Nelson averaged 18.5 points and 7.8 assists. He will enter his senior season with 949 career points.

But it was in the biggest games of the season that Nelson proved his true value. In three games in the conference tournament, Nelson averaged 23.6 points and he went for 27 points with 10 assists in the title-game victory over rival Holy Spirit.

In three games in the South A tournament, Nelson averaged 27.6 points. He scored a season-high 30 in rallying St. Augustine from a big deficit in a loss to Christian Brothers in the sectional title game.
