S. Jersey Girls: Cherokee girls prevail in O'Hara tournament

Isabella Therien led all scorers with 17 points Monday as Cherokee defeated Bethlehem Catholic, 44-29, in the Cardinal O'Hara Holiday Classic.

Five of Therien's points came on free throws.

Cherokee is ranked third in South Jersey by The Inquirer.

Carol Stutzer-Harris Holiday Tournament. Amanda McGrogan and Maddie Sims scored 11 and 10 points, respectively, as No. 5 Lenape defeated Holy Spirit, 43-27, at Paul VI.

Boardwalk Classic - Jay Craven Memorial Bracket. Glory Morton had 21 points and 10 rebounds to help Delsea defeat Our Lady of Mercy, 44-33, at Wildwoods Convention Center. Wykira Johnson had 12 points and six rebounds.

Dejahanee McNeal had eight points, six rebounds and two assists in Lower Cape May's 38-22 victory over Cape May Tech.

Boardwalk Classic - Kaitlin Anzelone Memorial Bracket. Mackenzie McCracken scored 12 points as Wildwood defeated MaST Charter, 52-22, at the Wildwoods Convention Center. Monika Concepcion-McGrath, Jillian Freeman, Maddie McCracken and Tracey Young added 10 points each.

Boardwalk Classic - Genny Farnan-Robinson Bracket. Caitlin McMullan had 13 points, six rebounds and two three-pointers, and Wildwood Catholic routed Egg Harbor Township, 58-28.

James G. Atkinson Memorial Holiday Classic. Jazmine Carter had 14 points and 12 rebounds and No. 8 Timber Creek routed Westampton Tech, 62-22, at Rowan. Kirsten Flourney also had 14 points and Kayla Cade added 12 points, 10 rebounds, four assists and four steals.

Juliette Tobin and Brianna Jankaukas had 10 points apiece as Deptford took down Paulsboro, 39-35.
