Wed. Pa. boys’ roundup: C.B. East tops C.B. West

Central Bucks East won bragging rights in Doylestown by using Ben Marks' early goal to pin a 1-0 loss on rival Central Bucks West in a boys' soccer game Wednesday night.

Antonio Diaz sent a pass to Marks, who beat two defenders before sending a left-footed shot into the left corner of the net 23 minutes into the first half of the Suburban One League Continental Conference match.

Jacob Nesteruk guarded the East goal with nine saves for his third shutout in five games.

Pioneer Athletic. Aaron Kulig and T.C. Collins assisted each other's goals, and Kyle Miller added another score to wrap up Boyertown's 3-0 success against visiting Methacton.

Public. Nahom Walingle scored twice and assisted Willie Geebli on the game-winning goal with five minutes left as Bartram squeezed past hots Frankford, 4-3.

Lincoln built a 2-0 halftime lead but needed Tasham Abdulrasool's second goal of the game with 10 minutes left to get past visiting Franklin Towne Charter, 3-2.

Science Leadership goalie Doug Wallace made seven saves as the visitors notched a 3-0 shutout at Douglas. Dan Wirt had a goal and an assist, and Jeff Schwartz and Mark Stuart also scored goals.

Washington's 6-0 win at Swenson featured three-goal performances by Mohamed Conde and Wilo Mimbar. Conde also had two assists, and Duke Gdolue added three assists.
