The Irish's (4-1-1) Emily Faught scored with 17 minutes left in the second half off an assist by Dana Diamond to provide a brief lead.

Episcopal's Leslie MacManus tipped in a goal a minute later to give the Churchmen (5-0-1) the tie.

Also in the Inter-Ac, Taylor Wrubel scored twice for Springside, and Angela Cascio added a goal and two assists to a 4-0 shutout of visiting Baldwin.

In other Inter-Ac action, Germantown Academy trailed by 1-0 at intermission but tied the game in the second minute of the second half on Maggie Oberkircher's goal and went ahead five minutes later on Brooke Kiley's score en route to a 4-1 win at Agnes Irwin.

Catholic Academies. Villa Maria needed Olivia Bolles' goal 11 minutes, 25 seconds into overtime to remain unbeaten as the Hurricanes edged host Merion Mercy, 2-1.

Villa Maria's Caroline Troncelliti and Merion's Marissa Martinelli traded first-half goals to force overtime.

Troncelliti assisted the deciding goal off a corner.

Villa Maria improved to 6-0 but had a string of three straight shutouts end, and Merion Mercy (2-3) has been involved in three overtime games and four one-goal games this fall.

Central. Conestoga's Emily Pillion broke a 1-1 halftime tie with a goal five minutes into the second half as Conestoga squeezed past host Springfield (Delaware County), 2-1.

Ridley's 1-0 thriller at Strath Haven was decided by Michelle Burke's goal from Lisa Saraceni in the fifth minute.

Upper Darby also won by 1-0, as Charlotte Cornell assisted Katie Hild's goal 9:37 into overtime.

Royals goalie Tori Ward had nine saves.

Leah Mason scored off a scramble in front of the cage with seven minutes to play and Harriton collected a 1-0 win over visiting Marple Newtown.

Two second-half goals allowed Haverford High to pull away from visiting Lower Merion for a 3-1 win.

Jenna Bergstrom, Jessica McCarthy and Kelly McCoy provided the Fords' goals.

Ches-Mont. Haley Nelson's second goal of the contest snapped a 1-1 tie and gave Downingtown East a 2-1 win over visiting Avon Grove.

Bicentennial. Stacey MacArthur's early unassisted goal carried Delco Christian to a 1-0 win at Plumstead Christian.

Soccer

Aubree Brown scored in the eighth minute and Kelsey Celline added a late insurance goal as Archbishop Wood claimed a 2-0 nonleague victory over visiting Villa Maria.

Catholic. Two goals each by Erika Forktus and Jenna Richards steered Conwell-Egan to a 6-0 win over visiting Bishop McDevitt. Eagles goalie Brittney Cottrell made four saves.

Archbishop Carroll converted a penalty kick 30 seconds into overtime to defeat visiting Archbishop Ryan, 2-1.

Inter-Ac. Christina Zahan headed in a corner kick by Casey Smyth with two minutes left in the first half for the winning goal in Episcopal Academy's 2-0 shutout of visiting Notre Dame.

Springside senior Kelsey Chapman had her first career three-goal game as the Lions scored twice in overtime to beat visiting Baldwin, 4-2.

Central. Harriton's Gabby Kursman scored off Madison Pelletier's assist in the second half, allowing the host Rams to a salvage a 1-1 draw with Marple Newtown.

Strath Haven handled visiting Ridley, 4-1, with two goals each by Gina DiTaranto and Lexi Mazur, and two assists by Morgan Glassford.

Catholic Academies. Gwynedd-Mercy's Taylor Caparo scored with seven minutes left for the final goal in a 3-3 stalemate with visiting Merion Mercy.

Friends Schools. Maria Pizzini knocked in a pair of goals in a five-minute span midway through the second half for Friends' Central's 2-0 win over visiting George School.
