Fri. Pa. boys' roundup: Phila. Academy Charter tops Lincoln

Jamiel Hines stepped up in the clutch as Philadelphia Academy Charter won, 54-52, in overtime over host Lincoln in a Public League boys' basketball game Friday afternoon.

With PAC trailing by two, Hines cut through the lane and sank a layup with less than 10 seconds remaining to even the score and send the game to overtime.

The extra frame saw Hines and Muhammad Laws lead PAC with three points apiece as they outscored Lincoln, 8-0.

Laws scored six of his team- high 15 points in the third quarter and PAC improved to 3-1.

Elsewhere in the Public League, Dale Ellis Jr. hit six three-pointers en route to a game-high 28 points to lead Lamberton to a 68-56 win over visiting Roxborough.

D'Andre Parmley's 18 points paced Swenson as the host Lions defeated Science Leadership, 61-38.

Engineering and Science's David Snead recorded a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds to give the Engineers a 50-38 win over visiting University City.

Ahmad Gilbert's 16 points, 12 rebounds, and 8 blocks for host Constitution eased the Generals past Robeson, 87-48.

Donald Robinson scored 13 points in Frankford's 58-46 win at Kensington.

Suburban One. Council Rock North raced out to a 12-point lead after the first quarter en route to a 53-45 win at William Tennent. Brandon Knotts led the Indians with 17 points.

Jordan Simmons' four three-pointers and 20 overall points gave host Abington a 71-26 win over Council Rock South.

Norristown's Marquis Bryant had eight rebounds and three blocked shots to go with his 16 points as the host Eagles defeated Upper Merion, 66-47.

Merdic Green pulled down 11 rebounds to go with 15 points and 8 assists as Truman trounced visiting Neshaminy, 59-24.

Wissahickon won at home, 52-42, over Upper Dublin behind 17 points from Chris Vila.

Guy Henderson scored eight of his game-high 14 points to lead Cheltenham to a 65-24 win over visiting Springfield (Montco).

Leo Vincent's 20 points paced host Bensalem over Pennsbury, 74-58.

Central. Ridley needed every one of John McGill's 27 points as the host Green Raiders held off Conestoga, 53-52.

Eddie Baxter and Ben Casanova each scored 12 points in Penncrest's 46-37 win at Garnet Valley.

Alex Shippen scored 12 of his game-high 25 points off three-pointers as Harriton won, 67-55 at Radnor.

Springfield (Delco) won, 65-52, over visiting Marple Newtown behind a stellar game from Dan Rutecki. The senior had 30 points, 17 rebounds, and 3 steals.

Raheem Hall and Jaquan Johnson shared the game high of 19 points to lead host Lower Merion past Strath Haven, 79-51.

Gabe Armando made five three-pointers in Haverford High's 49-42 win over Upper Darby.

Bicentennial. Holy Ghost Prep was led by Greg Wozniak's 10 points in a 37-32 win at Lower Moreland.

Robert Morales' 26 points led Calvary Christian in a 69-60 win at Christopher Dock.

Tri-County. Senior Casey Nie grabbed 11 rebounds to go with his 17 points in Phelps' 68-38 win at Woodlynde.

Nonleague. Zach Dolton scored a career-high 34 points to lead host Phil-Mont Christian to a 70-50 win over Friends Select.

Chester stretched Pennsylvania's fourth longest winning streak to 60 games with a 70-52 win over Lincoln (N.Y.) in the I-95 Elite Showcase in Baltimore.
