Friends' Central senior Karonn Davis, a combination guard who averaged 19 points last season, signed a letter of intent Tuesday to play for Niagara.

"I found the people at Niagara to be genuine and kind-hearted," said the 6-foot-1, 185-pounder, who visited the school last weekend. "Also, the coaches said I'll have the opportunity to start as a freshman."

Davis, who lives in West Philadelphia, also had a scholarship offer from New Jersey Institute of Technology.
