Thurs. Pa. girls and boys: Four reach 1,000 mark
Thursday proved to be ripe for girls' basketball milestones, as Mount St. Joseph's Alex Louin, West Chester East's Nina Mazzarelli, Girard College's G'Mrice Davis, and Phil-Mont Christian's Jana Goodman scored their 1,000th career points.

Louin had 13 points to become the 11th player in school history to reach 1,000. The host Magic cruised past Catholic Academies foe Nazareth Academy, 66-22.
Mazzarelli scored all 18 of her points in the first half to help host West Chester East storm past Avon Grove, 59-23, in a Ches-Mont National game.
Davis scored 25 points to become the first Girard College player to reach 1,000 since 2006. The host Cavaliers downed Kohelet Yeshiva, 56-6, in a Penn-Jersey League game.
Goodman scored 17 points and added five steals and four assists as visiting Phil-Mont Christian topped Bristol, 52-24, in a Bicentennial League game.
Catholic Academies. Jackie Carlin pulled down 10 rebounds and scored six points to pace Villa Maria past visiting Merion Mercy, 49-32.
Suburban One. Morgan Goldenbaum grabbed eight rebounds, dished out seven assists, and recorded six steals to trigger Neshaminy's 64-22 win at Truman.
Boys' Basketball
Tramere Adams' 13 rebounds and 11 points led Truman past host Neshaminy, 55-43, in a Suburban One National game. Tyquan Law added 19 points and five steals.
Public. Kahsiaan Kay scored 14 points and hit a three-pointer to force overtime as Southern nipped visiting Dobbins, 68-64. Jamir Lomax had five assists, and Latrelle Wilson recorded seven steals.
St. Albans Tournament. Sam Lindgren's 27 points and Tim Guers' 16 led Germantown Academy past Blue Ridge (Va.), 72-44, in Washington.
Nonleague. Amir Hilton scored a game-high 27 points to help Abington roll past visiting Frankford, 75-66.
Football
Imhotep Charter sophomore tight end and defensive end Naseir Upshur added a scholarship offer from Arizona State.
Frankford junior defensive end Shareef Miller received a scholarship offer from Temple.
